Deep sea fishing is always an adrenaline pumping good time when the Yellow Fin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and Wahoo are biting, if you have never experienced deep sea fishing before this is a great opportunity to give it a try. How about fly fishing for the illusive bone fish inside the lagoon, take a guided tour with Butch Leone, local bone fishing guide, he'll show you all the good spots and teach you how to cast for these speed demons. There is also a good chance of seeing Humpback whales while fishing Aitutaki (in season -July-Oct). Look here for more Aitutaki fishing charters.

One of the best ways to see the island is by car, jeep or scooter, and of course Rino's is the place to rent these. Most people budget a day or more for vehicle or scooter rental as its a fast and fun way to explore the island of Aitutaki.
Of course if you would like to see the island through the eyes of a local try an Aitutaki discovery safari tour with Na, he is very knowledgeable and compassionate about his home land, he will take to ancient ruins and places you would never find on your own, really a great way to spend a day.
